If ever there was a time to re-release an album after 41 years, its this one.
The unique story around this, which was produced by reggae pioneer Sir Collins features his late son’s vocals, Steve Collins, who was a Trojan records child prodigy in the early 70’s and was one of the lives lost in the New Cross fire 1981.
He released this remarkable album just 8 weeks after this historic tragedy.
We can only imagine the grief and the emotional turmoil of a man loosing his eldest son in such a way.
He created this master piece in a process of deep mourning that reflects on every track throughout with such feeling on the pain and suffering, not only what he was experiencing but the whole of the UK black community at that uneasy time.
With support from Black slate ,Aswad, the Cimarrons, Eddie Grant, Matumbi, russ painter, and the Mind sweepers. it was all about the emotions and the power of music that illustrates the window of time.
If you want to be touched by this, you can inspire others to appreciate and listen through your ears, put yourself in the mind frame of this musical genius.
